A: Funding opportunities and collaborative project updates are regularly shared through our member newsletter and will soon be posted in our Member Area (coming soon!) These opportunities are updated weekly on Mondays.

SB&T Member-Specific Information

A: SB&T member benefits include:

  • Access to exclusive webinars featuring their work with Civitas non-profit partners (these regularly receive over 100 attendees).

A: SB&T members are invited to present on collaborations with HIEs or RHICs. Submit your proposal 6–8 weeks in advance via the SB&T Webinar Request Form. Submissions must include:

  • Title
  • Proposed date/time
  • Presenters’ names, orgs, and titles
  • Abstract
  • LinkedIn and Twitter handles

Note: Webinars must include an HIE/RHIC member and cannot be overly promotional.

Membership Dues & Policies

A: New members are invoiced following Board approval. Onboarding begins once payment is received. If joining after June 30, full dues are required with a half-rate applied to the following year’s renewal.

A: Membership is renewed annually for the calendar year (Jan 1–Dec 31). Invoices are issued by November 1, with reminders to update your organizational and financial info beforehand.

A: Yes. Each entity is considered a separate member and must apply individually. Additional contacts across parent/subsidiary groups must be approved on a case-by-case basis.

A: Members may withdraw at any time with written notice. However, no refunds will be issued for previously paid dues.

A: Membership may be terminated for non-payment or code of conduct violations with approval from the Civitas Board of Directors. Read the full policy.

A: Membership is valid for one year from payment and is non-transferable.

As a benefit of membership, we invite SB&T members to present on a collaborative effort or case study between the SB&T member and an HIE or RHIC member. If a member joins Civitas past June 30th of each fiscal/calendar year, full annual dues will be remitted, and the member will pay one-half of the annual dues amount upon the first annual membership renewal. Full annual dues will be paid at each annual renewal thereafter.

Membership Renewal: Membership dues are invoiced annually for the fiscal year of January 1-December 31. Members will be invoiced on or before November 1 for the next fiscal year. Prior to November 1st, each member will be asked to update their organization’s information to include revenue attestation and additional information to generate invoices. It is the member’s responsibility to update this information upon request with the most up-to-date information available.

Membership Policy for Civitas Networks for Health 

  1. Membership in Civitas Networks for Health is open to any organization and or a subsidiary within the organization that shares our mission and values and aligns with one of the three categories of membership. Membership is also subject to Board approval. Civitas aims to have highly engaged members who find great value in membership benefit offerings. Please reach out if you have any questions about which category of membership is the best fit for your organization. 
  2. Parent organizations and their subsidiaries are individually eligible for membership and will be considered as separate entities, each with its own membership. (a.) If a parent organization or subsidiary organization is interested in including additional contacts from either organization, they must be approved by Civitas leadership and will be handled on a case-by-case basis.  
  3. All member organizations, whether they are parent organizations or subsidiaries, will be entitled to receive the same benefits and services, such as access to events, resources, and networking opportunities. 
  4. Membership in Civitas Networks for Health is non-transferable and is valid for one year from the date of payment of dues. Members will be notified of their upcoming renewal and the renewal process at least one month before the expiration date. 
  5. Any issues or disputes that may arise related to the membership will be addressed by the Board of Directors. 
  6. This policy may be reviewed and revised from time to time by the Board of Directors. Any updates to the policy will be communicated to members in a timely manner. 

MEMBERSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

  1. Term. Membership terms shall commence on the acceptance date and remain in effect until the earlier of: a) expiration of the Civitas fiscal year, which is the calendar year; b) a Member elects not to renew its Member status or elects to voluntarily withdraw as a Member; and c) termination of Member’s status for noncompliance as outlined below.  
  2. Voluntary Withdrawal as a Member. Upon written notice to Civitas given at any time, Member shall have the right to withdraw as a Member. Upon such withdrawal, Member shall have no right to receive a refund of any previously paid dues. 
  3. Termination of Participation. Civitas has the right to terminate Member’s status as a Member for cause which may include a Member’s failure to pay its annual dues or noncompliance with the code of conduct outlined below. Membership termination requires a majority vote by the Civitas Networks for Health Board of Directors. Members shall have no right to receive a refund of any previously paid dues. 
  4. Annual Dues Payment. Dues shall be as determined by the Board of Directors in accordance with the Corporate Bylaws. Membership dues are tiered and assigned based on a Member’s attested annual revenue for the last completed fiscal year. Membership renewal is contingent upon payment of the applicable dues as outlined below.

Civitas Advocacy Updates

Civitas Networks for Health aims to affirm the role of its members in the nationwide interoperability and health improvement landscapes with to aid individual, population, and public health; further health equity; and improve health outcomes. The goal is to build partnerships, influence funding and legislation, as well as advocate for regulatory actions that support Civitas members’ critical work.
